Installazione stampante canon Pixma MP150

Ciao a tutti.

Ho trovato in rete come unica fonte per un driver Linux per la mia MP150 un software chiamato Turbo print.
Il problema è che quando effettuo il download del pacchetto rpm il PC mi segnala il messaggio "Could not find an appropriate hxplay or realplay in the system path to use as an embedded player".
Vi è mai capitato ? Conoscete in alternativa comunque qualche altro modo per reperire ed installare questo driver ?

Sul PC ho installato SUSE 10.0

quello è un errore comune del browser basta scegliere salva con il nome invece di cliccarci

suse avrebbe anche installabile tra i suoi pacchetti ddiwrapper

che dovrebbe servire ad usare i driver windows con linux

ho scaricato turboprint. x quanto abbia acceso le mie speranze, me la messa letteralmente in quel posto. Se nn lo compri, ad ogni stampa ti mette un logo nel mezzo della pagina :cry: :cry: :cry:

Grazie per le risposte. Nel frattempo ieri notte sono riuscito ad installarlo partendo da tar anziché da rpm. . La sorpresa è quella già detta da altri del logo orrendo imposto sulla stampa.

Proverò con ddiwrapper

Io ho una pixma ip2000 e come driver ho scartato i turboprint (in quanto a pagamento) ed uso piuttosto i gimp-print. Controlla se la tua pixma è supportata, dovrebbe funzionare anche se imposti i driver di un modello molto simile (come ho fatto io).

Ho trovato questa guida

a. Make sure you have a recent version of WINE installed. Anything released
after August 2004 should work fine.
b. Run "make && make install"
c. Get the Windows 2000 or XP driver archive for your printer from the
driver download section of the Canon web site of your choice.
d. Install the driver, preferably to /usr/share/ddiwrapper/drivers/default
excanondriver <driver>.exe /usr/share/ddiwrapper/drivers/default
If you install it to a different directory, you will have to change the PPD
file accordingly before injecting it into the CUPS system. excanondriver
uses cabextract, unzip and recode, so make sure you have these installed.
e. Inject the PPD file into the CUPS system
lpadmin -p ddiwrapper -v usb:/dev/usblp0 -P doc/ddiwrapper.ppd -E
This will create a printing queue called "ddiwrapper" that, if printed to,
will pipe PostScript input through GhostScript, ddiwrapper and the Windows
printer driver out to your USB printer. If you are using a graphical user
interface such as kprinter you can use it to choose paper format, paper
type, duplex mode and printing quality.
f. Finished. Now you should be able to print to your formerly unsupported
Canon printer through CUPS.
3. TESTED DRIVERS/PRINTERS
"Dry" testing means that I fed an input file into the driver and checked if
it produces output of sensible size and content. "Wet" testing means that I
have sent the output to an actual printer to check if it looks right.
