anke avendo installato autoconf automake e gettext

te l'avrebbe fatto anche senza il programmino, non hai installato il "pacco" cvs

apt-get install libgtk1.2 libgtk1.2-dev
in effetti potrei anche farne una versione dedicata a chi usa debian installando anche i "pacchi" necessari.

Kornshell a me non va da quest'errore che può essere?Ha a che fare con il cvs?

visto cosi' sembra che non lo lanci da root, se non è quello vediamo il da farsi

questo errore lo da anche a me e ad altri ma poi va tutto regolarmente anzi meglio
poi klops --update risolve tutto
