Ubuntu: grub error 15 dopo upgrade bios??

Ciao a tutti,
dopo aver upgradato il bios, grub mi da continuamente error 15, e sono costretto a fare il boot con il cd di installazione di ubuntu scegliendo boot dal primo hard disk.

ho provato un po di tutto:
1. sudo install-mbr /dev/hda dopo aver bootato col cd live
2. messo il cd di xp è lanciato dalla console fixboot
3. reinstallato grub

niente sempre error 15.

ho aperto un post anche su ubuntuforum, ma non ho avuto fortuna....

questa la situazione dell'hard disk:

hda1 reiserfs linux
hda2 ntfs (XP)
hda3 swap linux

se l'installazione di grub fa bene...

e quando avvii da errore 15 file not found



prova a entrare nella shell di grub e a dare a mano:

root (hd0,0)

kernel /boot/vmlinuz..... root=/dev/hda1 ro

initrd /boot/initrd.......img


e vedi cosa non va

ho trovato! il problema era nel bios. l'aggiornamento ha invertito gli hard disk!!!!!
