ho Windows Vista 32 bit.
Oggi ho installato Cobian Backup 10 Boletus (ver. 10.1.1.816) e ho creato un nuovo task impostando la cartella di cui fare il backup (nell'HD E) e la destinazione (in un secondo HD interno, G).
All'ora prestabilita non parte.

Provo ad avviarlo manualmente ma mi compare il emssaggio di errore "Il motore non è stato rilevato".
Faccio una ricerca in internet e leggo che dopo l'installazione del programma per far partire il servizio all'avvio bisogna riavviare il pc (cosa che io non avevo fatto).
Ho riavviato, ma niente. Il messaggio di errore persiste.

Da esegui>msconfig>avvio Cobian risulta attivo. Anche dal programma che uso per controllare i programmi all'avvio, Cobian compare.

Dalle FAQ del programma si dice quanto segue:

Q: I keep getting a "Engine no found error" Why? Well, if you get one "Engine not found error", and inmediatelly after an "Engine has been found" error, then there is no problem. It can sometimes take some seconds for the interface to find the engine. But if you keep getting those errors every 10 seconds or so, and the icon on the tray is still disabled, or blinks, then you have a problem. It has been reported that some firewall programs, especially some ZoneAlarm versions block the communication between processes via named pipes, (which is IMO a horrible thing to do). I have contacted ZA several times but they don't seem to care about this, so if you have some versions of ZA and this problems, you better uninstall one of them. Update: ZoneAlarm seems to have fixed this problem in the new Beta, so if you are experimenting "Engine no found" problems, then it can be worth a try to upgrade to the last version.
Forse dipendere dal mio firewall?
