Gentoo e la Configurazione di XFree

Ho appena emergiato XFree 4.3 sulla mia Gentoo 2004.1

codice:

emerge -k xfree

Adesso come faccio a configurarlo ???
Ho una nvidia gforce FX 5200
e ovviamento o emergiato anche il kernel nvidia...

emerge -k nvidia-kernel

Altra cosa...
Come WM ho solo fluxbox...

emerge -k fluxbox

Quindi...
Come faccio a configurare XFree
e come faccio a far partire fluxbox ???

se hai una debian installata copiaci il suo XF86Config-4 in /etc/X11
altrimenti digita xf86config che te lo crea

per fluxbox edita /etc/rc.conf ed in fondo metti

XSESSION="fluxbox"

dando startx dovrebbe partire

Ho Provato a dare il Comando per la configurazione di X...
e fare quello che mi avete detto...
Ma quando faccio startx lo schermo mi rimane nero...

ad altri cosi funziona oppure rifai la configurazione con xf86config e fai correttamente quella del monitor perche manca quella

Ho Provato con il file di Mandrake (Modificato)
Ma non Funziona...

Poi Ho Provato con quello Della Slack e funziona...
X Parte con Fluxbox ma la grafica e' orribile...
Cosa posso fare ???

Io stavo pensando un emerge del nuovo xfree
ma come faccio...
(Sono nuovo di Gentoo)

non ti piace fluxbox ? cambia stile

poi magari emergi gnome o kde

Non e' un problema di WM ma di configurazione di X o di X stesso...

e' come se X usasse solo 8 colori...
e poi... bo... e' orribile.

Ho trovato sulla debian di scuola questa configurazione...
Che sembra simile alle tue...Nel caso la provala (modificando alcune cose)...
