Da: 1280/256 a: ADSL 4096/256.. parametri help.

Il mio settaggio attuale e’ per ADSL 1280/256 da una settimana ora ho ALICE ADSL 4096/256 Kbps.
Win XP Pro, Version 2002 Service Pack 2, Intel® Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 Ghz , 1.00 GB of RAM. Telecom Italia Alice Modem Realtek RTL8139/810xFamily Fast Ethernet NIC.

Mi e’ stato suggerito il seguente per la 4 mbit: dovrei download ( tcpoptimizer ) da speedguide.net. Custom setting – network adapter selection – modify all parameters….

TTL – 64
TCP Receive Window 100800
MTU Discovery – yes
Black Hole Detect – no
Selective Acks – yes
Max Dup Acks – 2
TCP 1323 Windows Scailing x

Apply Changes and reboot…

Non riesco pero’ a settare MTU a 1500? Ci sono vari tipi: Dialup - DSL – DSL (PPPoE) – Cable Modem – Extreme.quale devo attivare?

Devi cliccare su "DSL" che ti mette MTU=1500 e poi su "custom settings" dove puoi modificare "TCP Receive Window".
Se vuoi provare il nuovo TCP Optimizer_v2,basta che metti la slider su "4000",poi "optimal settings" che ti setta automaticamente RWIN=MSS*176.

Guarda se posso darti un consiglio visto che ho anchio alice 4mb se fossi in te metterei RWIN a 511000
Io lo impostato cosi e mi va benissimo , poi sicuramente troverai qualcuno che la impostato in un altra maniera ma la mia esperienza a furia di prove mi ha detto che questo è per me il valore migliore

Notare che rwin 511000 e uguale a mss x 350 percui 1460x350 = 511000

Grazie... ma non ci riesco! ho usato TCP optimizer sia versione V1. e V.2 MTU 1480 e MSS 1440 ? La Velocita' e tra 2.21/2.25 Mbps e 144/153 Kbps.
Non capisco perche' non lo setta?

Questi sono ora i risultati e capisco che non posso settare MTU a 1500 perche e limitato dal provider/gestore Telecom PPPoe...

Mi hanno indirizzato a questo sito per il speed test: www.helpadsl.it in basso a sinistra, solo un test ogni 10 minuti...

3572.7 Kbps 437.8 Kbytes/sec ?
McLink: 3566/158 ma qualche volta spesso upload e sui 70/80/10...?

Non mi sembra che ci sia un sito che misuri correttamente il speed? in piu' 187 mi hanno riferito che l'unico test attendibile e quello del loro sito: www.helpadsl.it ?

era meglio se rimanevo con la 1280/256 era piu'stabile...

Per dirti la verita io come test uso dumeter e scarico un file da server veloce , il test helpadsl mi da al massimo 2900 ma scarico a 560kb ???????
Per me i speed test si fermano a 2mb prova questo :
a me da delle misure piu o meno valide comunque anche quello di mclink non e male !
