ciao a tutti ho scaricato ubuntu in formato .rar, ora in che modo lo devo masterizzare per installarlo sul mio pc.

se utilizzi windows, forse questo (da http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/history/356831 ) può esserti utile:

You probably just think that it is in "rar" format.
 If you have winrar installed, an iso file is also associated
with winrar and gives the iso file the same icon as a rar file, 
and if you do double-click it, winrar will 
load and allow you to unrar it, as it is similar to a rar/zip file. 
You probably don't have file extensions as viewable 
(windows default is to hide file extensions for some crazy reason). 
To fix this go open up explorer and click on 
Tools>Folder Options>View Tab>Hide extensions 
for known file types and uncheck this box.
 You will probably find that you had an iso file the whole time.

Ubuntu in formato .rar non esiste , il formato per il cdrom è .iso e va masterizzato come tale.
