Router netgear dg834 e Dyndns

Buongiorno, ho il seguente problema:

ho un account su dyndns, e non so per quale motivo stamattina il mio pc online non è raggiungibile.
Vado a controllare sul sito e non appare più il mio account.

Vi sembra normale?

Vabbè mi dico, provo a reinserirlo...
Ma quando farà l'udpate il router?

e perchè se metto un ip farlocco non riesco comunque a pingare?

Impossibile trovare l'host host.homelinux.xxx.Verificare che il nome sia corretto e riprovare.

L'entry dovrebbe comunque esistere, non bisogna aspettare che si propaghi vero?

ok, proprio mentre scrivevo sono riuscito a pingare, ci ha messo un po' a girare la nuova entry, adesso rimane la domanda principale, secondo voi ogni quanto fa l'update il suddetto router?

ho il tuo stesso router e un account dg834. il router fa l'update solo quando cambia l'ip esterno. generalmente il processo di aggiornamento impiega pochi secondi.

se vai nella pagina di DNS dinamico del router e clicchi sul bottone di stato dovrebbe dirti che l'ip registrato e' lo stesso dell'attuale e quindi non necessita di update.

fai una prova a scollegarti e ricollegarti sperando di cambiare l'ip per vedere se funziona.

Ora ho telefonato a casa e mi sono fatto dare l'ip pubblico.
Ho ricevuto quindi anche la mail che mi spiega quello che è successo, ma non capisco, perchè se è come dici tu io non dovrei rientrare in questo problema.

deve essere successo qualcosa di strano, prova a rifare l'account. se ricapiti nello stesso problema potrebbe esserci qualcosa di sbagliato con il router. a proposito che versione del firmware stai usando?

la versione è la 1.0.5 (ho visto sul sito che è l'ultima).

per ora l'ho disattivato e ho fatto uno script che mi mette su un server ftp pubblico un file di testo con l'ip pubblico aggiornato...

quasi quasi lo riattivo...
