Gridview, web form e quantità di record visualizzati

Ciao a tutti.
Porvi questa domanda è abbastanza complicato, ma cercherò di essere più chiara possibile.

Ho una webform che contiene un gridview. Il gridview visualizza i record di una tabella access. Posso poi selezionare ogni record in modo che mi visualizzi una mascherina sotto il gridview per modificare i dati (non mi piaceva modificarli direttamente nella griglia).

Funziona tutto egregiamente (paginazione, tutti i pulsanti, la selezione del record ecc) fino a quando nella tabella ci sono pochi record.

Quando riempio la tabella con 10.000 record, la pagina mi si carica mostrando la gridview correttamente paginata, ma qualsiasi cosa (selezione del record, clicco su un pulsante che mi deve caricare un'altra pagina ecc...) succede che mi viene dato il seguente errore:

Mi rispondo sola...
E' un problema di quantità di dati contenuti del viewstate, quindi basta inserire all'interno del webconfig questa dicitura:

<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="15360" />

In questo modo funziona!

può essere un timeout? tieni conto che la paginazione, se non gestita anche a livello di query, è solo per una visualizzazione più comoda e cioè ad ogni cambio pagina ti prendi sempre i tuoi 10000 record

ma i dati che superano quella lunghezza che fine fanno?
prova ad inserire 20000 record e lasciare il limite nel web.config

Quella lunghezza arriva fino a 35000 record circa..
