Problemi installazione gallery2

Ciao, sto installando sul sito gallery 2.3, ho trovato anche un articolo di html.it

non ho alcun problema finchè non arrivo al passaggio 7 in cui mi chiede di creare il file config.php,
mi esce quest'errore:

A questo punto ho fatto il download di config.php e l'ho messo nella cartella principale di gallery
..rimango bloccato a questo step, con il messaggio in primo piano e il solo pulsante ''create config file''. Chi può darmi una mano a capire come si fa? grazie ciao Simone

è scritto chiaro, non hai i permessi per scrivere sul file...

Si infatti, il problema è che tutto questo si trova nella cartella public, e ho i permessi settati a 777.. il file confing non esiste, viene creato al momento. oppure mi dice di scaricarlo e sostituirlo. L'ho scaricato ma cosa sostituisco se non esiste ancora? magari ho tradotto male dato che l'inglese non è il mio forte..ma mi sembra di aver capito questo anche perchè ho verificato e in effetti config nn esiste dentro la cartella

non conosco la struttura di Unix, ma se public corrisponde alla root del server allora il file lo devi spostare nella cartella della gallery....come scritto qui:

Non so dirti perchè ma ho rinstallato tutto ed è andato al priom colpo...bo! Grazie lo stesso ciao ciao Simone

forse non aveva preso bene i permessi...ma meglio così
