Non funzionano i tasti del touchpad su Xubuntu 12.10

Non riesco a configurare i driver per il touchpad.
Il problema è che non mi funzionano i tasti destro e sinistro... ho provato a configurare il file xorg.conf ma senza alcun risultato.
Il mio computer è un acer con processore amd e scheda video ati, leggendo su internet ho visto che ci sono molti problemi di incompatibilità con questo processore ma cmq provo a postare il contenuto del file xorg.conf qui, magari qualcuno di voi ci capisce qualcosa:

si ma seguendo una guida su internet.. che tramite alcuni comandi lo creava automaticamente

Se riesci a spiegarmi come configurarlo manualmente mi faresti un enorme favore! In genere l'ho sempre fatta in quel modo la configurazione, cercando le guide su internet e non mi ha mai dato problemi, da quando sono passata alla nuova versione ho avuto problemi con i driver proprietari, perché risulta che quelli amd non li hanno aggiornati ufficialmente...

fino ad adesso ho provato solo con ubuntu 12.10 e xubuntu 12.10 e non vanno in nessuno dei due.. ma con ubuntu 12.04 funzionava tutto benissimo, solo che non vorrei dover tornare alla vecchia versione... D:
