non conosco corel xara ma conosco Xarax. Questo è un programmino che disegna ed edita vettoriale con possibilità di esportare anche in flash. Come sw è carino e facile da utilizzare (specie rispetto ai mostri sacri di illustrator e freehand), con un buon numero di tutorial disponibile in rete. importa i maggiori formati vettoriali.

XARA Ltd has been developing software since 1981, and is one of the oldest continuously trading independent software developers in the business today. The company has developed software for a variety of platforms over the years, starting with the BBC Micro, and has evolved with the changing hardware landscape. Xara Ltd's first Windows product was launched in 1994, a mainstream vector illustration package called Xara Studio.

Xara X is now being sold alongside our other graphics products aimed specifically at Web graphic designers, Xara3D and Xara WebStyle.

Xara Ltd took an early interest in the Internet and although our ISP interests were sold in 1997 (they now form part of XO), Xara Ltd remains completely committed to the Internet, both in terms of software distribution and development direction. Our software has been sold and delivered over the Internet since 1997, which has provided the opportunity for Xara Ltd to grow into a truly international company, selling over 90% of its products outside the UK. It is our aim to pursue this opportunity, establishing Xara Ltd as the foremost supplier of Web graphics software.

Xara Ltd further extended its internet interests in December 2000 with the purchase of the ZY Modules division of ZY.com and these complementary server side products will be developed within Xara Online. Xara Online has an innovative system for embedding its own and third party web services into any web site. A growing range of 'modules', each representing a different object or web service may be added to any website. The patent pending module system brings a diverse range of services under a simple common user-interface that allow non-expert users to integrate advanced features and functions into their website.

Xara Ltd's company HQ is based at Gaddesden Place, a Grade 2 listed mansion standing in eight acres of parkland in the Hertfordshire countryside. It is a UK limited company (a privately held corporation), under the same ownership since 1981.

Non ne sono poi molto sicuro ma credo che la Zara Ltd sia una divisione staccata della Corel. Il progetto iniziale di questo software si chiamava CorelXara, poi evolutosi in XaraX e aprendo nuovi spazi ad altri applicativi a auqesto punto sviluppati da Xara Ltd.

Infatti, CorelXara non è più in commercio.

Tutto questo però non ha nulla di ufficiale, ma credo sia quello che è successo.

credo anch'io poiché il formato nativo dei files di XaraX è lo stesso formato di corelxara ovvero .xar
