Go the following link and download the free program ASFRecorder listed there. It's very small (only 39kb) so it won't take long. Unzip the file. It will create its own folder named ASFRecorder. You can use this program to download an asf streaming file and store it on your hard drive. Just give it a URL that points to any one of these extensions: .asx, .asf, .wmx, .wma, .wmv, .wvx.
The .asf, .wma, and .wmv files contain the actual audio or video. If you enter in .asx, .wmx, .wvx files it will download the file they point to.
