modem alice (fastrate 100 adsl usb) su panther

Ciao!

ho un modem ACCESS MEDIA FASTRATE 100 ADSL via USB. non sono riuscito a trovare un driver che mi permetta di utilizzarlo sotto panther.

I Drivers for the BeWAN ADSL PCI & USB ma non funzionano.

Ne ho trovata una versione anche sul sito di alice, ma niente di fatto. Qualcunoè riuscito a configurare con successo questo modem su os X 10.3? Fatemi sapere

PS: curiosando nel system.log nel momento in cui inserisco il modem nella USB ho queste informazioni, se possono aiutare:

devi usare un router adsl ethernet sul mac (e non solo) se vuoi essere sicuro di non avere problemi.

Stesso problema anche con linux. Purtroppo il dominio micro$oft impone anche questo; a quanto pare i modem usb hanno grossissimi problemi a girare su sistemi unix-like...
Quando mi hanno proposto alice, sia per X che per linux consegnavano un modem ethernet. Credo sia l'unica soluzione (a parte qualche eccezione). Dovresti provare a vedere se il tuo modem gira sotto linux. Solo cosi' credo tu abbia una possibilita' di farlo funzionare sotto mac.
