ho dovuto formattare l'hd, ma quando ho provato ad istallare il win xp si creava una schermata blu con scritto "page faults in nonpaged area".

Che può essere?
ripartiziona l'hd con ad esempio Partition Magic e poi formatta in NTFS

ma è già formattato in ntfs perchè il cd di win xp fa tutto....solo che nn si riesce ad istallare il s.o.
