Da quello che so,ci dovrebbero essere tutti i moduli, visto anche che sia xawtv che zapping mi restituiscono il segnale con i formicolii tipici dello schermo tv senza segnale presente.
Con altre distro tipo mandrake,dovevo settare la configurazione tv cambiando da *** UNKNOWN/GENERIC *** a ProLink PixelWiev bt878 che e' il reale chip che c'e' sulla mia scheda tv ed in piu' il sintonizzatore su Philips PAL.
Solo cosi' vedevo e sintonizzavo i canali.
Come faccio per fare questa modifica anche su debian ?

Ho dato anche un'occhiata a /etc/modules.conf e mi sa che sara' una bella gatta da pelare far andare questa scheda tv.

non è un grattacapo, e con un po di pazienza vedrai la tel. sul pinguino. Si tratta di capire che modello è la tua scheda ed il chip che utilizza. Per il secondo ci siamo visto che con dmesg ti riporta che è una Brooktree-878 (bt-878). Bttv setta automaticamente il valore di card a 0 quando non riesce a riconoscere la card in automatico. Anche a me ha fatto questo scherzetto ma trovata la ia scheda ho aggiunto a /etc/modules.conf la linea bttv card=54 radio=1 e tutto funziona alla perfezione.Quindi la cosa che devi fare è cercare la scheda che hai e mettere il numero giusto in card=* L'opzione radio=1 serve ad abilitare il sintonizzatore radio qualora la tua scheda abbia questa feature. L'elenco delle schede lo trovi in /usr/src/linux-.../Documentation/video4linux/CARDLIST.bttv.

IL numero della mia card e' il 16 e il tuner e' il numero 1,almeno con mandrake erano quelli i numeri che mettevo nel comodo MCC della distro. Quindi dovrei mettere bttv card=16 radio=1 in /etc/modules.conf, ma non so se poi devo dare qualche altro comando tipo modules.update o qualcosa di simile :master: :master:

Ho aggiunto bttv card=16 radio=1 in /etc/modules.conf, ho pure riavviato ma non funziona.
Penso che la chiave di tutto forse sta qui

e non riesco a capire che comandi dare e come.

prova ad aggiungere options bttv card=16 tuner=1 in modules.conf, oppure meglio commenta le righe relative a bttv ed inserisci install bttv card=16 tuner 1. Intanto hai provato da teminale a vedere se poi la scheda funziona? Hai fatto rmmod bttv e poi modprobe bttv card=16 tuner=1 e riavviato il programma per vedere la tv?

Non so se sia proprio la procedura coretta,comunque ho messo bttv card=16 tuner=1 sia in modprobe.conf che in modules ed anche in modules.conf tutto a mano,cioe' da linea di comando e' dopo il riavvio vedo la tele con debian!!!!!
