chi mi aiuta a capire cosa devo fare avendo ricevuto questo messaggio?
devo cambiare il DOCTYPE msa come?

The detected DOCTYPE Declaration "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">" has been suppressed and the DOCTYPE for "HTML 4.01 Strict" inserted instead, but even if no errors are shown below the document will not be Valid until you update it to reflect this new DOCTYPE.

prova ad usare il HTML4 transitional!

mettendo l'opzione di autodetect nel Doctype del validatore funziona...boh....

This Page Is Valid HTML 4.01 Strict!

ho visto un po' il codice del sito,
puoi tranquillamente usa XHTML - anche sttict.

devi solo aggiustare qualche tag.
