[JAVA] Errore 403 aprendo Tomcat Manager

ho installato il webserver tomcat su una macchina con linux redhat 9, aprendo il Tomcat Manager ottengo un errore 403, è un errore di permessi? che devo fare? Grazie

nesuno mi sa dire nulla?

versioni utilizzate:

java jdk1.5.0_02
tomcat jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9

il server parte visualizzo la pagina iniziale ma non risco ad accedere al tomcat manager ne allo status
ottengo questo errore

HTTP Status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied
