forse non è il posto giusto e/o se ne è gia parlato...
sto effettuando un rimordenamento del mio sito e (udite udite) è finora tutto validato correttamente!
vorrei un menu a scomparsa del tipo uno clica su un link, e sotto quel link appaiono altri link

così:

link1=>uno clicca=>

link1
xxxx
xxxx

e sotto appaiono xxxx!
qualcuno sa come farlo (javascript, dhtml, htm, css, qualsiasi cosa, basta che postiate il codice) in modo che poi la pagina sia validabile dal W3C ?

Hai messo il javascript in un file esterno? E' fondamentale, per avere una separazione ordinata tra i linguaggi. Soprattutto, come evidenziato nel tuo caso, per evitare conflitto tra i caratteri speciali.



P.S. Caro moderatore, cosa c'entra questa discussione nel forum di javascript?

gli errori che ho postato sono quelli che mi da se posto il codice tra <script> e </script>!
in un file estrno mi da solo 2 errori!

Quali? Hai già risolto?

In generale, ricorda che gli script è sempre bene mantenerli separati dalla struttura di markup, sia per una più semplice manutenzione, sia per evitare appunto interferenze.
