Outlook e Norton

Salve a tutti!
Premetto che ho fatto una ricerca nel forum e anche nei siti microsoft e symantec, ma non riesco cmq a risolvere il mio problema.
Forse cerco male, forse cerco bene ma sbaglio a correggere sul mio pc..
Il problema: ho outlook 2007 b2tr (ma credo che il problema si manifesti anche con outlook 2003), ed ho anche norton internet security 2006.
Se cerco di scaricare la posta in arrivo ricevo questo errore:

Task 'NOME - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Mentre nell'inviare sembra non avere nessun problema.
Avendo già avuto problemi simili, mi ci è voluto poco a verificare che, se tengo norton disattivato, il tutto funziona correttamente..
Avete qualche consiglio su come risolvere il mio problema?

EDIT: il problema si presenta anche con altri software (MailWasher, per es).. disabilitando norton, come sopra, funziona tutto..
