Installare DOM su PHP5

Non riesco a far giare il DOM su PHP5.

Il SimpleXml Funzione e su phpinfo(); mi dice anke che:

DOM
DOM/XML enabled
DOM/XML API Version 20031129
libxml Version 2.6.26
HTML Support enabled
XPath Support enabled
XPointer Support enabled
Schema Support enabled
RelaxNG Support enabled


Ora se io faccio uno script preso da esempi ufficiali e scrivo:

Esempio 1. Saving a DOM tree into a string

$doc = new DOMDocument('1.0');
// we want a nice output
$doc->formatOutput = true;

$root = $doc->createElement('book');
$root = $doc->appendChild($root);

$title = $doc->createElement('title');

echo $doc->saveXML() . "\n";

echo "Retrieving only the title part:\n";

Dovrebbe darmi in output questo risultato che ovvimante non mi da.

The above example will output:

Retrieving all the document:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<book>
<title>This is the title</title>
</book>

Retrieving only the title part:
<title>This is the title</title>

Sapete aiutarmi e dire perchè non funziona?

Il mio output è solo :

è tutta la settimana che spippolo con le DOM di PHP

e se non sbaglio PHP5 non ha bisogno di installarle DOM ...sono già embedded
