Mootools: come fare un return di un metodo in questa circostanza?

Salve, mi sto ingarbugliando in una classe creata da me in cui ora ho il seguente problema:

in seguito ad una richiesta new Request, nel "onSuccess":

C'è qualcosa che non ho spiegato bene?
Fatemi sapere, perchè vorrei proprio capire...

Il problema è nella linea "if( this_.conf() ){...}", dove vorrei che la funzione "conf()" mi restituisse un valore "false" o "true", così da poter accedere all'interno dell "if"......
