Root File Default Directory - Apache2 Ubuntu 14.04

Ciao a tutti.
Da quando ho fatto l'upgrade ad Ubuntu 14.04 non riesco piu' a configurare la root dei miei file per apache2.
Ora come default ho /var/www/html, ma vorrei mettere la sezione di development all'interno del mio utente /home/utente/Siites.
Ho provato a creare un virtual host, ma senza successo. Mi viene restituito un 403, permission denied. In verita non vorrei fare un virtual host, ma semplicemente cambiare la root di default dei file.
Secondo me in questa versione e' cambiato qualcosa ma non riesco a capire cosa!

Io ho impostato il virtual host così e tutto mi funziona:

Io invece vorrei utilizzare diverse versioni di php per diversi virtual host ma non ci sto riuscendo....
