ho fatto richiesta di cobranding con un sito di finanza americano importante che offre anche servizi a webmaster. mi ha scritto questo:

To set up a cobrand, you only need to send me a template page of the images and links on your site that you want included in the cobrand, along with a space of 640 pixels wide to insert the barchart information in. At the spot where the barchart info is supposed to go, place comment marks, such as . I then take this template, assign it a cobrand code and split it into two parts. Then I copy these parts over to our servers that create the different charts, quotes, and market pages.

When someone requests a chart, quote or market page with your cobrand tag, the information is pasted into the space alloted and the two files are put back together creating a page that looks like part of your site with the information requested in the middle."

Credo di aver capito, ma prima di dirti una fesseria, vorrei capire una cosa: il cobrand è inerenti (banalizzo perchè non sono del settore) a dati di borsa, indici e quant'altro, che tu dovresti inserire nel tuo sito?

Make sure that you use the full paths back to your server for all graphics
and links. Most html software programs assume that the links and images
will be residing on the server where the page is located, so they don't
need the full http path. You will have to include this. In other words,
images in the html code will look like this: instead of:
[img]/images/your_images.gif[/img] Same goes for href's. If you have any
questions about this, please let me know.

If you are planning on framing the content, I can create a blank cobrand
that is suitable for framing. In that case, all I would need is the
background, text and link colors that you want to use.

You can also create a blank cobrand that is suitable for framing. We can
left align the pages so that they come out centered when viewing the whole
page. Here is what the cobrand looks like blank (you can send us link and
text colors to use or a style sheet):

You can use the cobrand in conjunction with our webmaster's tools as well:

that we send you once the cobrand is set up.

Just click on "cable", "carriers", "hardware & equipment", "satellite", or
"wireless" to open the quotes applet. Once open, you can click on any of
the company names to open up into a cobranded quote page.

The cobrands are free service, the only stipulation we have is the right to
advertise. It should be noted that most of our advertisers are financial
related websites. This may cause a conflict with your own site, if it is
in competition with the companies we are showing ads for. We also have
private label products, which are more customizable and the ads are
removed. If you are interested in these, please let me know and I will send
you a price list.
