vorrei togliere la virgola e restituire l'intero ad un $numero.
come faccio?
il problema è che non voglio solo togliere la virgola, ma vorrei anche prendere l'intero immediatamente superiore.

es.

$numero = 54,1 vorrei portarlo a 55, non a 54.
$numero = 54,8 vorrei portarlo a 55.
$numero = 55,2 vorrei portarlo a 56.

come faccio?

round($numero,??,??)
