Ragazzi, avrei un altro "problemino"

Se io volessi fare visualizzare nella home page le ultime 4 news ESCLUDENDO l'ultima inserita, come posso fare?

Il codice che uso per inserire le ultime 4 news è questo:

Il problema quindi è capire cosa scrivere al posto di

"top 4 * FROM news"

Dato che così, chiaramente, include anche l'ultimo record inserito

Quale può essere il giusto comando??
