Codice alfanumerico e campo testo dbase

Buongiorno.

Ho un problema "strano" che vorrei spiegarvi:

la necessità è quella di scrivere in una tabella di un database access un codice alfanumerico (esempio: AS12D568TGH69); per fare questo ho preparato una tabella in cui il campo interessato, che ho chiamato matricola, è previsto come "testo".

L'importazione di questi dati avviene tramite un foglio excel da caricare in access; la cosa strana è che se il valore è esclusivamente numerico, che è un caso possibile (esempio: 3210456987), il dbase lascia il campo "matricola" vuoto, mentre se è alfanumerico (esempio: AS12D568TGH69) lo script funziona bene.

Avete idea come posso risolvere?
