Di sotto il codice per un box fluido con background...purtroppo ho notato che si vede male...nel senso che il quadratino in basso a destra risulta leggermente spostato e la cosa si aggrava se all'interno del box ci sono dei float andando a spostarsi al centro
deve esserci un errore nel codice ma proprio non lo trovo...e si che ne ho fatti parecchi altri cosi

mi sono fermato al primo che ho visto.
usi un DTD XHTML1.1, e servi la pagina come text/html.

il validatore non da errore e comunque non mi sembra rilevante, si tratta solo di una pagina di esempio dove lo metto io è molto piu complesso...adare un pochino avanti no eh?

Mi pare che sei partito con il piede sbagliato.

NON e` vero che nessuno ti aiuta, sei tu che snobbi chi ti aiuta.

Mi pare comunque che stai usando una tecnologia che non conosci (e che francamente pochi qui dentro conoscono), la usi secondo i criteri di una tecnologia diversa, e pretendi di risolvere i problemi.

Tieni presente che (almeno fino a qualche mese fa) il validatore non e` ancora tarato sul linguaggio XHTML 1.1, per cui qualche errore gli sfugge.
Non so neppure dirti se l'errore e` nella DTD linkata o nell'uso che ne fa il validatore.

Altra cosa di cui devi tener conto: il codice postato e` forse machine-friendly, ma sicuramente non e` human-friendly. Ci sono troppe cose simili, per cui e` difficile trovare l'errore.

Non e` che hai una pagina da poter linkare, in modo da riprodurre l'errore?

Mi scuso con webus che ho effettivamente trattato un po male poichè ho ritenuto la risposta non inerente alla domanda, che però era comunque posta male e frettolosamente.
Detto ciò ho messo online due pagine d'esempio:

il risultato di impaginazione finale o quasi, che per il momento non tiene conto dei sopracitati errori inerenti la selezione del doctype

un codice semplificato che evidenzia un errore di visualizzazione nell'angolo del basso a destra rendendolo sfasato dal contesto sia con Firefox che con IE

posso far notare tramite il sito madre che il codice, identico nella sostanza e che differisce di poco nella forma, è utilizzato con successo in diversi spazi (quadranti laterali e box centrale)

Faccio notare inoltre che, se nella versione semplificata l'errore è minimo, nella versione completa l'errore si accompagna su IE ad un completo sconvolgimento della parte inferiore del box

Concludo con 2 aspetti che mi hanno incuriosito per quanto concerne la soluzione del problema IE:

1) il problema potrebbe essere relativo solo a quest'impaginazione e non presentarsi nel sito madre poichè tale sito fa uso di questi box in maniera slegata (per intenderci non sono l'uno dentro l'altro)

2)si tratta di un erronea gestione dei float e dei conseguenti clear

attendo pareri illuminanti

grazie a tutti e mi scuso ancora per la forma scialba che ha portato ad incomprensioni e fraintendimenti sulla natura del problema

ps: purtroppo il codice risulta complesso da leggere e vorrei citare la fonte primaria sicuramente più chiara, purtroppo non sono riuscito a reperirla, per una più facile comprensione si possono seguire questi due concetti chiave:
1) si tratta di una serie di div l'uno dentro l'altro a cui vengono applicati gli angoli del dai cui ne consegue che:
2)
cctc = Contenitore Cartaceo Top Center
ccmr = Contenitore Cartaceo Middle Right
e via discorrendo tenendo a mente come legenda:
r=right
c=center
l=left

t=top
m=middle
b=bottom
