Comer faccio a mettere il valore di un nodo di un file XML aal'interno di un attributo value di un campo text?

cioè...

se ho, per esempio
[...]
<nome>Pippo</nome>
[...]

e nel foglio di stile volgio fare una roba del tipo

[...]
<input type="text" value="<xsl:value-of select="nome"/>" />
[...]

ma non posso perche gli sta sule scatole il< e il >.

Cosa posso fare?
