mi sto avvicinando a linux ed ho rpovato ad installare un pacchetto .tar.bz2

dopo aver digitato il comando :

bunzip2 -dc archivio-nomedelfile.tar.bz2 | tar -x

da riga di comando come utente root ho lanciato il comando

./configure

ma mi dice quanto segue...

checking wheter the C compiler works... no 
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables

qlc aiuto???
