Ho bisogno di aiuto per far funzionare a pieno la mia adsl.

Iniziamo con ordine...

Ho una adsl 4mb su cavo solo dati di McLINK, non abito a Roma bensì a Firenze
Router (adsl, adsl 2, 2+) della ZyXEL colegato con PPPoA, e sistema operativo XP sevice pack 2.

Dopo aver configurato il tutto con gli operatori dell'adsl ed aver verificato che ero connesso, ho iniziato a fare le seguenti operazioni, SEMPRE con antivirus e firewall disattivati.

Ho provato a scaricare (come deto da voi) file da http://korolyov.fastweb.it/debian-cd/3.1_r0/i386/, ma la velocità si assestava su 200 KB/s.

Fatto il test da "http://forums.speedguide.net:8117/" e questo ne è il risultato:

Poi salvato e riavviato. Ancora disattivati antivirus e firewall.

Scarico i file nuovamente ma vado anche meno!!! 180 KB/s.

Rifaccio il test, e viene:

Inoltre a quanto sopra....

Dal test del router viene fuori che la portante è 4832/320, cioè quella giusta.
Io disto 2 Km dalla centrale, e i miei valori sono:

noise margin upstream: 25 db
noise margin downstream: 10 db

attenuation upstream: 19 db
attenuation downstream: 39 db


Dunque.....
Come posso fare per sfruttare al meglio la mia adsl??

Come mai quelle differenze nel secondo test? (voci RWIN, ecc.) Inoltre il TCP è aumentato ma ben lontano dalle prestazioni della 4MB, e soprattutto non corrispondente alla realtà (vista la scadente prova dal sito fastweb)
Il ping è diminuito ma poco....
