ARTICOLO: come settare l'adsl al meglio

@ fivendra e a tutti quelli che volgiono rispondermi

Il router ADSL Linksys WAG354G-EU in mio possesso non mi permette di settare in manuale un MTU maggiore di 1492.

Volevo sapere se secondo te o secondo voi per gli altri che leggono è opportuno che setti anche la scheda di rete connessa o la connessione wireless al router con MTU pari a 1492 oppure è meglio che la setti su MTU pari a 1500.

Inoltre che voi sappiate per la connessione wireless (11b e 54g) MTU pari a 1500 o 1492 è un valore ottimizato oppure un valore intorno a 37440 sarebbe meglio sfruttato?

Non riesco a cambiare i valori di MTU e RWIN.
Ho provato con vari programmi da voi suggeriti e anche andando sul registro di configurazione (come suggerito da qualche parte).
Ma niente, quando faccio TCP/IP analyzer mi dà gli stessi valori fissi:
MTU 1492
RWIN 65535
Questo nonostante sul router sia impostato un MTU di 1500.
Ho win xp professional sp2 con router netgear DG834G

Si lo uso come router lan e wireless
PPOA come indicato dal provider

Da dove il sito che uso per testare i valori (TCP/IP analyzer) prende i valori? visto che sul registro di configurazione di XP ho messo:
MTU 1500 (anche sul router MTU 1500)
MSS 1460
RWIN 32120

Mentre l'analyzer mi dà
MTU 1492
MSS 1452
RWIN 33396
Dove altro si settano?

MTU se sei in PPPoA mettilo a 1500 (anche sul router),RWIN prova a metterlo pari a MSS*44*16,quello che hai ora (17040) è decisamente troppo basso
