ho recuperato ddalla sessione la variabile lang che risulta avere come valore "it"

come faccio a fare un if di questo tipo in asp?

if (lang != "it") OR (lang != "en") then
....
end if

chiedo perchè ho provato con <> ma nulla mi sballa tutto...
