se ti riferisci all' Analyzer di SpeedGuide, penso che ti dica che il tuo MTU è ottimizzato per PPPoE (probabilmente sarà 1492 o 1480).

Manualmente lo puoi modificare solo nel router, in Vista non è possibile almeno che io sappia, non uso quel SO (non mi piace molto).

Avendo un alice 20 mega che però non va nemmeno a 7 (sto intorno ai 6 mega) e supportando la mia linea sia pppoa sia pppoe e avendo un router ethernet, quale protocollo consigliate?

Di solito per Alice 20 Mega si usa PPPoE, se però hai una 20 Mega su rete ATM avrai qualche piccolo beneficio nell'usare il PPPoA. In ogni caso, visto che li puoi usare entrambi testali per qualche tempo e vedi qual'è il migliore.

Ma come è possibile?Dopo alcuni anni faccio l'analisi con SpeedGuide.net TCP/IP Analyzer,premetto che per farla ho dovuto disattivare il firewall del mio router hamlet 7500,e mi dà risultati tutti sballati:
