ARTICOLO: come settare l'adsl al meglio

Una curiosità:

se uno a una portante a 4Mbit impostata nel router ma ufficialmente,causa non apertura rubinetti

, viaggia ancora a 1,2 Mbit che valori di configurazione deve settare, quelli della 4 o della 1,2 Mbit???

Ma io non credo di avere ancora la 1,2 MBit, perchè cmq dai test effettuati scarico sempre e costante tra i 420/450 KB/s, però ho il sospetto che i rubinetti non siano aperti del tutto!

Può essere??

Ho una 4Mbit da mia richiesta e non da upgrade, quindi dovrei andare per quello che pago!

mtu è bassissimo.
se usi pppoa devi mettere 1500 o almeno 1492
poi prendi il valore di mss che è sempre pari a mtu meno 40 e lo moltiplichi per 44 o 88 e vedi quale conf ti permette di spremere le performances migliori...

ho usato l'optimal setting di tcp optimizer e adesso scarico a meno di prima prima 3480 adesso 3300 ...meno male che ho fatto il backup della config precedente...ma siamo certi che questi valori vadano cambiati necessariamente?

certo, ma come detto e ridetto mille volte, ogni conf è storia a parte..
ogni pc e line ha situazione personali....
quindis e ha te ma bene valore x non è detto che a me vada bene
