ARTICOLO: come settare l'adsl al meglio

intanto voglio dire che è veramente bello vedere che esiste ancora qualcuno che da consigli, a chi avendo la stessa passione non ha le stesse competenze, solo per il piacere di dare una mano, senza chiedere nulla in cambio....BRAVI !!

Ho una alice 4 mega (la portante varia..a volte 4.8 a volte 3.8 ..bò) comq non andavo oltre 1200 - 250 Mk Link. Semplicemente aumentando il RWIN da 8760 a 2560960 adesso Mk link dà anche punte di 3000. Il download di singoli file si è notevolmente velocizzato (prima massimo 50-80 Ks adesso anche punte di 400 ks. Sono già contento di questo risultato ottenuto davvero con poco sforzo.
Non credo di poter installare il RASppoe in qanto uso um modem USB e non ho una scheda eternhet..e di questo chiederei se possibile una conferma.
Poi, come dicevo, non ho fatto altri settaggi , però vedo che per la 4M si consiglia anche di impostare il valore 3 MAX ACK, RWIN a 128480, ed altri. Per questo invio la schermata del mio test e vi chiedo un consiglio..cè da limare ancora e chissà...toccare i mitici 4m? oppure meglio accontentarsi dei 3 perchè probabilmente per ora quello è il limite della linea?
Faccio presente che quando ho modificato Rwin ho selezionato nella finestra Adapter setting il mio modem usb(che appare tra le opzioni) al posto della Realtek che appare di default(spero sia corretto) -devo ripetere l'operazione anche con il net adapter 1394 che ho presente e attivo nelle connessioni di rete? perchè anche questo appare nelle ozopni di Adapter setting.

Lascia tutto com'è adesso...è il meglio che puoi avere!...il rasPPPoE non avrebbe senso installarlo (anche trascurando il fatto che non è compatibile con un modem usb) poichè ti limiterebbe comunque MTU a 1492 quando te hai la fortuna (come chi ha la connessione settata PPPoA) di avere MTU già a 1500.
Per il fatto della velocità se hai una portante oscillante dipende solo dalla linea e questi valori essendo relativi al sistema operativo non possono aiutare.

Porta MTU a 1500 con drtcp e setta il parametro sul router. RWIN è OK.

Ho Tin.it 4 mega router DG834 e questi sono i miei valori, vi prego se c'e' qualche cosa da fare, ditemelo che tra poco scasso tutto navigo davvero penosamente

Dipende da MTU e MSS...in ogni caso intorno ai 128000.
