Penso che RWIN tu possa dimezzarlo perchè è grande per una 640.
MTU sarebbe molto meglio se tu riuscissi a portarlo a 1500. Ci sta che nel tuo caso debba settarlo oltre che con drtcp anche sul router ed eventualmente sul modem.

Mmmmmmm, niente da fare, il router non mi lascia inserire valori di MTU differenti da quelli compresi tra 1440 e 1454....
chissà come mai hanno messo questa restrizione...


ed invece diminuire la finestra di Rwin che benefici potrebbe portarmi?

In teoria ti può limitare un eventuale collo di bottiglia.
In pratica è più facile ottenere maleficio con RWIN troppo basso che con RWIN troppo alto.

X inside88, ho provato ha scaricare rspppoe ma funziona solo con modem adsl ethernet, io ho un modem adsl usb(settato con mtu 1500 mss 1460), sai se si puo' aggirare l'ostacolo oppure meglio di cosi non si puo settare?

A quanto appare dal test, pur essendo un modem usb, sembrerebbe settato in PPPoE. Non uso mai rasPPPoE perchè ho solo router settati in PPPoA. RWIN è calcolato bene secondo MTU che hai adesso, se poi riesci a portarlo a 1492 alza anche RWIN a 255552.

Ho fatto un paio di test ping su maya.ngi.it e ho un valore medio di 62 ma quello che mi interessa è che nn capisco come mai, quando gioco in multyplayer, tipo Call of duty, ho dei ping mostruosi (minimo 180) confronto a miei amici con adsl uguali o perfino + scarse. Premetto che quando gioco nn ho nessun programma superfluo e come OS ho win sp.

Allora...il programmino di cui parli che credo essere drtcp o tcp optimizer non può aiutarti a settare MTU perchè nel tuo caso è limitato dal sistema operativo: per avere MTU al massimo per una connessione PPPoE ossia 1492, devi installare rasPPPoE. RWIN è nella media.

Certo che puoi protestare! Bisogna vedere se poi ti risolvono, sempre che sia risolvibile: ad esempio se il tuo problema è avere una linea di scarsa qualità e pertanto SNR basso e attenuazione alta loro ci fanno ben poco, a meno che il cavo che va dal multiplex alla presa non sia vistosamente danneggiato Ti conviene controllare, se ti è possibile, i valori di SNR e attenuazione dal pannello del modem e postarli qua. Nel caso che tu abbia una linea cattiva molto probabilmente sarebbe fiato sprecato col 187...in ogni caso prova, non si sa mai.
