Prima regola , evitare a priori l' uso di pacchetti di diversa provenienza da quella delle repositry della propria distribuzione.
Nelle repositry di ubuntu trovi tutto quel che ti serve ed anche molto di più , per installare nuovi programmi usa il gestore dei pacchetti e limitati all' uso del compilatore solo in caso estremo .
Le repositry di ubuntu sono tenute più che aggiornate in tempo reale.
si lo so hai perfettamente ragione però a me servono dei software che nn li trovo nei repository tipo 'code blocks'.e li trovo qindi solo come file archivio(.tar .tar.gz .tar.bz2).

scarica , estrai talla tarbal la cartella la metti in una directori utente di comodo , da console ci vai dentro e dai il comando:
dpkg --force-all -i *.deb
2 minuti e codeplock è servito . Il pacchetto è specifico per Ubuntu

ti ho dato il link diretto per 1 dei pachetti che ti servono , è già per ubuntu , non contiene sorgenti la tarball , contiene una cartella comprendente tutti i file.deb x ubuntu necessari per installare il pacchetto completo.Originariamente inviato da stink.floyd

in linea di massima nessun produttore ormai trascura ubuntu e debian nel rilascio di pacchetti x linux . Vengono rilasciati in formato .deb.tar.gz pronti per debian e ubuntu , oppure .tar.gz comprendente in questo caso i sorgenti per compilare su qualunque altra distro , oppure sempre in .tar.gz contenente una cartella con incluso l' intero pacchetto precompilato come ad esempio 'firefox'.
Basta un attimo di pazienza in più nel cercarli con google.
