phpmyadmin in locale non mi fa entrare :(

il config.inc.php che hai postato e' corretto. Il problema e' con mysql.

Non si capisce bene come sia il tuo scenario attuale, ma se ti funziona il phpinfo() e vedi che mysql e' presente come estensione, allora significa che:

mysql user ha una password utente e tu non la metti o la metti errata.
mysql user NON ha una password utente e tu invece la metti.

Questo a prescindere dall'uso o meno di phpmyadmin.

Sarebbe pure utile conoscere le versioni di quanto hai installato.
