avevo già provato in tutti i modi a configurarla con xfree ma anche cercando in internet ho visto che altri sono riusciti a farla andare solo su xorg... mi sa che dovrò aspettare. e poi cmq xfree si sta estinguendo, no?

ebbene sì, prima di quanto ci aspettassimo, oggi con l'upgrade mattutino mi sono ritrovato xorg sulla mia bella etch...


ad essere precisi sto finendo adesso l'upgrade e qualcosa potrebbe andare storto, ma per il momento:

oltretutto non conviene molto passare a sid di questi tempi... è particolarmente unstable e molte dipendenze sono rotte...
poi (per chi è pirla come me) e mischia anche repository di terze parti è superunstable

Etch è la nuova testing, giusto?

Io ho le repository testing, e facendo un classico upgrade e dist-upgrade mi ha lasciato alla vecchia versione x-window-system-core.

Se provo ad installare x-window-system-core mi toglie xserver e mi installa xorg. Non l'ho ancora fatto, posso farlo tranquillo?
