ragazzi,ho letto la guida nel primo post ma ci ho capito molto poco,cosa devo cambiare in questi settaggi? Ho un'adsl flat telelcom 4 mb e attualmente scarico a 3468

Allora...devi scaricarti drtcp (link : qui). Una volta lanciato il programma devi cambiare alcuni valori:
portare l'MTU da 1480 a 1500;
portare l'RWIN da 65535 a 256960.

Ragazzi io ho la portante di alice a 4832 - 320 ma la velocità è ancora di una 1,2M. I risultati ottenuti sono questi:

Puoi anche lasciarlo così, almeno sei già pronto per quando avrai la 4 Mbps. Prova al limite a fare qualche test di velocità, ma non credo che ti porti grossi problemi avere l'RWIN un po' alto per una 1.2 Mbps. Altrimenti per la 1.2 Mbps riportalo sui 65535.

ma ho letto che l'mtu ottimale quando si usa il PPPoE su winxp è 1480......il mio modem è ethernet,non lo avevo precisato.

Poi una cosa...come li devo settare gli altri valori su Drtcp???

Ah...non avevo letto sul rapporto che era PPPoE. Allora lascialo pure a 1480. Per alzare l'RWIN devi mettere 256960 dove sta scritto TCP Receive Window, dopo di che clicchi su save e riavvii il modem/router.

Un mese giusto giusto!! La velocita' non e' ancora stabile (lo sara' mai??? ). I test di velocita' tipo mclink vanno da 3900Kbps a 3000Kbps. download da Microsoft e ATI vanno da 250KB a 460KB a seconda dell'umore della linea. Per quello che ho letto, e' normale e si dovrebbe stabilizare nei prossimi gg (vero??? )
