Ciao a tutti.

Posso capire che alcuni di voi penseranno che la mia richiesta di discutere quale sia la scelta migliore per l'acquisto di un laptop sia un argomento gia' troppo dibattuto...
Per tutti gli altri volevo sapere un paio di cose:
1) E' vero che se un laptop ha una scheda video Intel posso stare sicuro che ci sono driver opensource (che, magari, mi supportano AIGLX senza ulteriori aggiustamenti)?
2) Le schede wireless Intel sono tutte supportate? Quali sono i chipset i cui driver sono inclusi nel kernel (vanilla, possibilmente)?
3) Se avessi la possibilita' di far girare knoppix sul portatile prima di comprarlo, quali comandi per verificare che sheda video e wireless sono stati riconosciuti (e configurati)?
4) Da che componenti dipende il successo o meno dello stand-by?
5) Che ne pensate del doppio processore Turion Mobile (performance e supporto in linux)?

1) le nvidia imho sono le sk video piu prestazionevoli e supportate sotto linux
1.1) basta che non sia ati.
2)si le schede wireless intel sono tutte supportate, io mi collego da un toshiba p100-211 in modalità wireless e ho il massimo supporto..

4)supporto acpi, che su linux è ancora in lavorazione, ma prendi un laptop(anche se è difficile che tu ne trovi uno senza) con supporto acpi
