Ancora problemi con l'installazione MySql

Quanto avvio il servizio mysql con il comando

sudo /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe &

ad un certo punto mi dice questa cosa strana.

STOPPING server from pid file /usr/local/mysql/data/blueice.local.pid

ma io non voglio che il servizio viene bloccato dal mio utente.

Ho letto il log di errori che é il seguente :

Trova la porta 3306 occupata da un'altro servizio evidentemente qualche stupidaggine che ho installato in precedenza. Come faccio a controllare le porte, i servizi e il vecchio software ?

Open TCP Port: 3306

Come chiudo quella porta ?

Scusa ma la 3306 non è lap porta di mySQL
se la chiudi poi come fa a funzionare?
Butta via tutto e riparti se non ricordo male sta tutto in /usr o in /etc
