Con fedora per configurare la connessione hai disponibile i pacchetti:

System-config-netwc
This is the network configuration tool,
supporting Ethernet, Wireless, TokenRing, ADSL, ISDN and PPP.

Wireless-tools:
This package contain the Wireless tools, used to manipulate
the Wireless Extensions. The Wireless Extension is an interface
allowing you to set Wireless LAN specific parameters and get the
specific stats for wireless networking equipment.


Wlassistant
Wireless network management tool
Wireless Assistant (wlassistant) is a small application that allows you to
connect to wireless networks.

MAIN FEATURES:
- WPA-PSK Encryption Support (WPA/WPA2)
- WEP Encryption Support
- Not Broadcasted ("hidden") ESSIDs Support
- Per Network (AP) Configuration Profiles

Se hai fatto un' installazione completa , ad eccezione di wlassistant il resto viene installato per default.
