Nel caso la vostra macchina virtuale Windows sia lenta ecco come potete velocizzarla.

Il problema e' generato dal fatto che Windows usa di default il supporto ACPI che pero' penalizza di molto la macchina virtuale.

Ecco la lista delle cose da fare (semplicissime), le riporto in Inglese come le ho trovate ma non sono difficili da comprendere

# Select "My Computer" with the right mouse button.
# Select "Properties".
# Choose the "Hardware" tab.
# Click the "Device Manager" button.
# Select the entry under "Computer" with the right mouse button. If it says "Standard PC", then there's no need to do anything.
# Select "Properties"
# Click the "Update Driver" button.
# Choose "No, not this time" and click "Next".
# Choose "Install from a list" and click "Next".
# Choose "Don't search" and click "Next".
# Click "Next".
# Choose "Standard PC" and click "Next".
# Continue clicking "Next" and reboot the virtual machine.

Praticamente bisogna settare nelle periferiche hardware sotto la voce "Computer" l'opzione "Standard PC" invece che "PC con supporto ACPI"

P.S.: dopo questa modifica e dopo il primo riavvio non preoccupatevi se la macchina virtuale ripartira' a 640x480, aspettate e lasciatela reinstallare tutti i drivers hardware delle periferiche in automatico, alla fine rquando vi verra' richiesto di riavviare aspettate ancora qualche istante, almeno fino a che il led dell'Hd non si sara' spento, a questo punto potete riavviare.
