contatore javascript e xhtml strict...

Ciao a tutti,
vorrei usare un contatore di visite in javascript ma così facendo perdo la validazione xhtml strict.

<p class="firma">Questo sito &egrave; stato visitato <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="stats/contatore/counter.js.php?id=pappa&amp;mode=text"></script> volte</p>

Già gli ho fatto digerire il flash tramite l'accrocchio... vorrei sapere se c'è un accrocchio anche per questo problema...

un grazie anticipato a chiunque provi ad aiutarmi...

prova sostituendo & con l'entità equivalente del charset che usi

si quello lo sapevo... ogni & è stata sostituita da &amp; come da specifiche...

l'errore lo da sul attributo language e precisamente sulla prima virgoletta...

Cmq incollo sotto il testo esatto...

language="javascript" è deprecato dalla versione 4 di HTML in quanto la tipologia di tag script viene riconosciuta dal type="text/javascript"
