non usare un' input type image,
equivale ad un submit e intercettare e fermare un submit non e' sempre possibile,
andrebbe gestito nell' onsubmit del <form> stesso

se poi il risultato non e' inviare il form, che senso ha un input type="image"?
usa un normale link contenente un' immagine
