Per ora sto usando due tabelle esterne come
GENEREARTISTI che contiene
ID
IDartista,
genere(rock, pop ecc)

e REGIONEARTISTI che contiene
ID
IDartistia
regione
secondo me ti conviene di piu

ARTISTA: id, artista
REGIONE: id, regione
GENEREARTISTA: id, idartista, idgenere
REGIONEARTISTA: id, idartista, idregione

credo sia la soluzione migliore
