Aiuto CSS

Salve a tutti vorrei creare in wordpress una pagina template sfruttando il css ma non so come fargli capire le impostazioni che deve usare.
Vorrei una pagina "post" bianca di larghezza 855px


file template.php devo cambiare il class? è quello che fa riferimento al css o id?
