io guardavo un po' in giro a riguardo e mi ero imbattuta in un documento della microsoft che diceva:
You should use the left attribute only when the position attribute is set; otherwise, the value of the left attribute is ignored.
non so se è il tuo caso (e nemmeno io conosco a fondo explorer..)
